Laser Hair Removal
We have multiple state-of-the-art lasers especially for Laser Hair Removal. When dark, coarse hair appears in places that make you uncomfortable, it may be time to consider laser hair removal. This procedure is popular for women who have unwanted hair on their face, neck, abdomen, breasts, legs, or underarms, and for men with unwanted hair on their shoulders, chest, and back. The LightSheer diode laser is a state-of-the-art system specially designed to remove unwanted hair faster, with less discomfort, and more reliably than IPL or other methods.
And, with our Sciton hair removal laser, we are able to treat darker skin types with excellent results. Older lasers could not treat darker skin types, but with this new technology, we can treat skin types I to 5, and even tanned skin. The laser selectively targets hair follicles and heats them with infrared energy. The unique laser is designed to target the follicle rather than the melanin in the skin. With each laser, you can expect to have five to six treatments approximately 6-8 weeks apart. There is little or no discomfort following the procedure.
We are proud to also offer treatment with SPLENDOR X by Lumenis. This innovative laser system takes advantage of Blend X technology, which combines multiple wavelengths to allow for optimal hair removal in the treatment area. It can be used on all skin types and tones and has a dual cooling system to ensure patient comfort.
Laser Resurfacing
Laser Resurfacing is the ultimate solution for improvement of wrinkles, acne scars, skin tone and texture in a single treatment. Traditional Laser Resurfacing is an ablative procedure that has downtime. There is often significant thermal damage to allow for collagen regrowth. We utilize a number of different lasers which are selected according to patient need, and the amount of downtime that the patient is willing to have. Laser Resurfacing is most often performed in Dr. Young’s Surgery Center, and is done under General Anesthesia.

SkinTyte™ Laser by Sciton

MicroLaserPeel™ by Sciton
This is commonly referred to as the ‘weekend peel’. With less downtime than ProFractional or traditional Laser Resurfacing, yet more aggressive than microdermabrasion, the MicroLaserPeel is an intraepidermal laser peel that precisely removes the outermost layers of the skin. The removal of these dead layers and the thin layers of the epidermis helps smooth the skin’s surface while blending pigmented age spots. BBL Skin Rejuvenation

The process takes approximately 30 minutes, and 4 to 6 treatments are usually necessary for long-lasting results.
